Ataturk and flag

The Turks have great respect for Kemal Ataturk, their leader in the 20s and 30s who dragged them into the 20th century in an effort to modernise their country. In every town square you will find a statue or bust of Ataturk. Well, in N Cyprus, you are in absolutely no doubt that you're on Turkish soil, not least due to the number of statues devoted to Ataturk.
