Cardiff Castle
Why is it you never visit the tourist attractions on your own doorstep? I've not been to Cardiff Castle since I was probably in school.
We took Richard there today. What a fantastic place it now is. Only £11 to get in and have an audio guide read by Huw Edwards to take you around the grounds, it represents excellent value for money.
The tunnels were used as bomb shelters during World War II and they have mocked up one section back in this era. It was very atmospheric.
Something I didn't know before yesterday was Owain Glyndwr disappeared on the battle field when he was defeated by the English. There is no known grave or further history of him. It is said that one day he will return ... A little bit of Forteana to end this blip!
