Always had a distrust of mannikins, ever since seeing them come to life in the first Doctor who story I experienced [Spearhead From Space, the debut adventure for Jon Pertwee as the third Doctor].

Couldn't help blipping these silver limbs after I spotted them on the floor of an Edinburgh shop today [Archangel & Felon, to be precise]. Their artificiality was even more striking against the wooden boards.

I kept an eye on them; they didn't twitch while I was in the shop.
