Twa Stanes

Eco son and I spent the day mountain biking. He wants to do the 7 stanes mountain biking courses this year.

So we spent the morning at Dalbeattie doing the red course. This is the picture of Eco son at the Dalbeattie Stane.

I really enjoyed this route, eco son is so much better than me and it is great to see his confidence grow.

Then we headed over to Newcastleton, great journey cross country passing McDiarmid Momument.

Newcastleton was really well designed and a really good single track sections. The stane at Newcastleton has the words of Jerusalem and the other side Auld Land Syne, I assume it sits on the Border.

Good day out with the boy, I was pretty tired but really enjoyed myself.
