Chilly, grey and dreich....

It is chilly and rainy today...the thermometer reads in single figures and all my swallows have up and left suddenly....usually there is much debate sitting on the telephone wires as to when they will actually fly off to sunnier climes....this year they were just......gone. Two and a half weeks early according to my diary of last year...are they trying to tell us something about the forth coming winter?? Today it's back to the flying geese blocks in the art shed and a rough write up of the talks I have to give......but think I'll leave that till the afternoon and the woodburner casts its warmth and glow........
