Big wasp and new lens

Well I have invested in the 50mm lens which every photographer says should be in your 'arsenal'. I have to say I am finding it quite hard to get used to a prime lens as my other 2 are both zooms. However it is making me move around a subject a bit more which I think is good. Am going to try and keep it on my camera for a couple of weeks so I can keep practicing.
Had my first outing to a proper camera club this eve - wasn't sure it was going to be for me but I did find it very inspiring seeing other people's work. On slideshows...with music too!! Some very clever people there!
