Komainu

Komainu, called lion-dogs in English, guard the entrance of the main or the inner shrine of Japanese Shinto shrines. The two lions are almost identical but the other of the pair has a closed mouth.

The woofer wants to be a komainu when he grows up. Which is a bit more respectable than wanting to be a 'purse pet' ;)
