Uncle Sam's BBQ ribs at Aurora Ribfest
Last year, we had Camp 31 - and they were here again this year. This time, we had Uncle Sam's out of Albuqurque, New Mexico, USA. We usually change from year to year. The ribs were tasty but a bit dry due to overcooking. The side of baked beans was good and the side of cole slaw was really good. The 6th Annual Aurora Ribfest is a fundraiser for several local charities so, while the prices are a bit steep ($22 for a full rack of pork ribs, sides were $3 for a pair) it is all for good causes. The band was really good - a Springsteen cover band. Linda bought a couple of Aurora 150 pins. She's been collecting pins lately and pinning them on her safari hat.
