Salt Spring Pride

The 9th annual celebration for the LGBTQ community and allies is underway! As you can see from the photos here, there's great community support for this event, which is the 3rd largest such celebration in our province, behind Vancouver and Victoria. The theme for this year is "Camping It Up".
Last night we went to Mama Priscilla's Cagey Revue, a great show with fantastic costumes, wigs, songs. Tomorrow I'll be going to the parade and street dance.
This could never happen in Russia!
