The Joy of Mr Vinnie.

Vinnie is the Boxer dog pictured here. Yesterday Vinnie had a life-threatening cardiac rhythm disturbance, known as sustained ventricular tachycardia, in which the heart was beating at around 280 beats per minute, but very inefficiently, so that there was virtually no blood being pumped around the body. Fortunately Vinnie responded well to drug therapy.
"Mr Vinnie," pictured here, is clearly absolutely devoted to his dog. He was so thankful that Vinnie was able to go home this morning. Vinnie's life is going to be cut short by his illness, but for now he is doing well.
Sometimes my job can be very rewarding indeed.
