Amazing

I was overwhelmed by the turnout for my event at the literary festival in Mantova today. They had to delay the start by nearly 15 minutes and find more seats as people kept turning up. In the end there were more than 500 people and I was signing for a solid hour afterwards. I was gratified to be told by the festival director that The Blackhouse has been the No.1 bestselling book there over the summer, with expectations high for the publication of The Lewis Man next week. Everyone here has been so warm, and their enthusiasm for the Hebrides and Scotland has been amazing. Needless to say I am enjoying the festival!
