.....after this, but I had to give it an initial poke with a chopstick to get as much vodka into that 1 litre jar as possible along with the brambles and sugar (about 500g of each....apparently it'll need, er, 'diluting' with more vodka and filtering later in the process, this is my first attempt)

.......subtle weather report: the brambles were rain-drenched washed before they went into the jar, as was I when I was picking them!!
