au revoir

Today we awoke to rain, the first we've seen on this trip. We packed up in our typical style - amid far too much mayhem and chaos! We didn't even have time to fold the tent away - it was stuffed in next to Eve. As we hurtled down the motorway (running late with no time to spare) we realised the passports were in the secret hidey hole in our boot...... cue panic, tent poles everywhere, bags flying out of the boot. But we made it to the ferry - miraculously!!

Eve and I still managed to find time to bid farewell to her new friends - a family of teeny geese, the chickens, Bonnie and Clyde the ducks, Bert the donkey, Hector the dog, Saffy the horse and the pony with no name. Last but not least, we waved goodbye to this beautiful château and its delightful owners.
