Jarvis jackpot

The Jarvis is equipped with an in-built divining device that often leads him past several dull bars until he stumbles into a good one. Such was the case in Zagreb, Croatia's capital, when I ventured out after a late arrival in the neighbourhood of Vrbani and happened upon a bar with no name after passing several that did not seem to fit the bill for anything other than cheap beer. The bartender here was Marinko Mavrovic (pictured, with one of his shirts in the background), coach of Croatia's national futsal team and a former Croatian futsal international, and the clientele included a personal bodyguard of Croatia's president and the owner of a nearby pizzeria who went to his shop and brought me back an excellent pizza for the princely sum of 3 quid (if you're ever near Jarun lake in Zagreb stop into Pizzeria Chello). Quite a night was had.
