Drive, coffee and beach, drive, lunch, drive, condo, walk, lovely supper, light show, walk.

A long drive from Toronto to Ottawa punctured with a lovely diversion to Prince Edward County. Where a telephone exchange magically appeared, they do these days, and a very confused Bell engineer. Nice flat in Ottawa, interesting walk that was less full of flashbacks than I feared. A great supper at the restaurant of a friend's friend. Sadly he was not about, but we'll be Mounty-like on over the weekend. And a stunning light show on the parliament buildings. Could have so easily been mawkish, but was uplifting and quietly confident. I could show you hand held pics of blurry spectacle, but much better to go to the Flickr site. I think the only projection onto Westminster was Gail Porter's arse, but I could be behind the times. Says it all really.
