trust me....

that is an osprey sitting on that post. I went to Loch Leven and saw it through the telescope from the observatory in the cafe of the RSPB centre. Unfortunately there was work being done on the paths to the hides so I could only take a photo from the very first hide which is some distance from the osprey's perch.

Although I've seen these birds on the TV, I hadn't realised quite how large they are until seeing it through the telescope with a buzzard on a nearby post. The buzzard looked small in comparison.
