The Thief
Up at 5am as hubby is off to Zurich so an early flight from Heathrow Terminal 1 was required.
Now, I'm going to tell you about yesterday's events.
Whilst watering the hanging baskets in the front garden, I noticed an unpleasant smell. The main sewer from our house into the road was blocked and we had raw sewage pushing up the manhole cover. However, we can't complain at all. After a quick call to Thames Water, a rather handsome guy called James arrived at our house in 55 minutes and resolved the issue. See picture of James captured by fellow Blipper, The Maxfactor.
Thankfully the blockage wasn't on our property so we had no bill to pay. However, when putting a camera down the drain, he discovered we have a broken section of pipe, which will need sorting and yes, this is on our property. We'll need to dig a huge hole in the garden to obtain access to replace it - possible future blip to follow!
Now, the reason I mention the blockage, was because we had to let our neighbours know. We were all chatting in the street when Bingo just wandered up the road. I called out to her "Hi Bingo" as our neighbours called out "Hi Vicky" and "Hi Sam" - yes we've all been feeding her, have given her different names and she visits us all in turn!!!
This has, however answered some issues we've been having with items going missing recently. For example hubby's shoes, my t-shirt and a cushion from our lounger. It appears that Bingo (Vicky or Sam) has become a thief. Our next door neighbour saw her, wandering down the road, with one of hubby's shoes in her mouth last week and they've seen her pinch a tablecloth from their patio table. Naughty Bingo.
So to this early morning capture. It's weird weather - it's muggy strange colour skies with the sun rising but, it's well, as if all hell is going to let loose any second.
I had my macro lense on the Canon when I noticed Bingo in the garden, so took a chance that something might come out ok. She came for her custard cream and I took five shots one after the other. This is the best one which I've cropped slightly to take out my red fingernail which was extremely blurred. I hope you like it.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and I promise to keep a close check on how big Boris the spider is getting.
