L'Shanah Tovah

Prospect Park was overflowing with visitors this evening (on this balmy second night of Rosh Hashonah)

This soft-spoken man prayed and blew the traditional shofar and like the Pied Piper, curious children gathered around him from different ethnicities.

A gentle young woman was reading silently from a book of prayers. and she told me that many of the folks who were wandering around with prayer books had come to the lake to read special prayers to bless the fish in moving waters.
