Indian summer

The cool mornings have disappeared for a while and the summer heat has returned!
In the midst of running around town today, I stopped to see what was happening at our local city park (the one where the hot air balloons from last weekend do the "dip and dash" skimming over the lake).
Well it was dead as a door nail! No one was out in the heat, only a few Canada geese were in the water, furiously dousing themselves with the cool liquid and flapping their wings as though trying to stir up a breeze.
So this picturesque view of Pikes Peak with afternoon clouds is my offering for the day.
