A Long Day

After getting up at 3 am and leaving the flat at 4 am it feels a very long day. Arrived at Milan's Linate airport on time but quite a long wait for the luggage. It was after 5 pm by the time we were at our Lake Como apartment. A quick visit to the local supermarket was followed by a rest with a beer on the terrace. After an hour or so to recover we went out for a meal at the local trattoria, spaghetti alla vongole in my case set me up for the evening.

After the meal I made a quick visit to the cellar to see what we left down there when we left last time. I was able to come back up with various odds and ends including a bottle of wine.

Busy day tomorrow reprovisioning and then time to relax. Visitors arriving on Saturday to stay with us for a week. Our first guests, should be exciting.
