There are some weddings that i really look forward to - I know that it's going to be a beautiful day whatever the weather and this is one that I've been happily anticipating since I first met the couple back in chilly November. I say this about most of the weddings I do but this couple was absolutely lovely, so warm and welcoming and it makes such a difference to the photography - they glow with happiness and I just want to capture as much of the warmth and beauty that i possibly can.

This is why I don't do every wedding that I'm offered. There has to be a genuine rapport with the couple and me otherwise the photography suffers as I've found out a couple of times this summer but I've learnt my lesson for next year.

This was one of the portraits I took in the morning just before the bride got dressed and i love the light on her face.
