It's going...

There is a big old Cedar tree in the churchyard, which has been dying for several years. It was covered in ivy which provided a great home for many birds and wildlife. But recently it started dropping very large branches, onto the gravestones below.
Today the process began of cutting it down. We don't own the churchyard, it still belongs to the Church in Wales, so fortunately we don't have to foot the bill for this massive undertaking!
It's amazing how just with the initial clearing, how much lighter the whole area is. It's also revealing gravestones we didn't know were there!
