Seeing red

This should have been a picture of a hill in the Yorkshire Dales. It isn't!

Had a long lunch with ladies who run the coffee mornings at church, celebrating one of our number's 80th as we did so, and then dashed home to fly up to the Dales for some shots for our 'Players' production of 'Calendar Girls'.

Got to Cross Hills and discovered I had no memory card in the camera. Could have been worse we could have got all the way there! Grrr!

So - this Rowan overhangs our front garden and is very heavily laden with berries this year.
At about this time last year I put off posting a similar picture and found that within days the birds had stripped all the berries and look what a winter we got!

Ill wait and see what happens with this bumper crop.
