The last days of summer

Today has been so hot. When I took Murdoch for a walk and noticed all the signs of autumn - the blackberries in the brambles, the oak trees dropping their acorns, and some trees already turning slightly gold. However it was 29C which is not autumn, and so when I saw this new rose bud in the garden, I thought there is something else that thinks it is still summer.

I have enjoyed seeing all the lovely sunset images other people have been putting on blip. I have not been so lucky, there are no sunset views nearby and I have been thinking where I can go to get some lovely sunset images.
