Ripening (2)

I didn't mean to follow a berry theme, but these are the Lords And Ladies I managed to walk past yesterday without noticing! How could I?

Their ring of female flowers appears around a spike of male flowers in spring inside a whitish green hood and the orangey red berries appear in autumn!

The berries and leaves are extremely poisonous and irritate the skin! I would have liked to have done this blip much later when the berries are red but I'm sure in this very public position they will be removed.

So I'll do that one another day, another blip - "To the woods!" A much more usual location for them.
