Comrades in arms

We are in Sydney for the Salvation Army's "Freedom" Congress. It's the time of year when Salvo officers and soldiers from across Australia's Eastern Territory get together for a really big Hallelujah. Even the church's new international leader, General André Cox, will be here for the weekend of worship, music and teaching. Mrs D was herself a Salvation Army officer (ordained minister) when I first met her, and we're certain to meet lots of her old comrades. This evening, as a taster, we went to Booth College, the Officer Training School, for a reunion of graduates of her "Undaunted" class of 1971. We have Jacqueline (above) and the other cooks to thank for a good meal.
