A is for Art
This afternoon all five Art teachers built muscle and tolerance as, with a team of cleaners, we managed in 'only' four hours to get the Art Studios (almost) ready for the opening of school next Monday. Particularly difficult after the studios were used for nine weeks of Summer School plus quite a lot of refurbishment meant that we were unable to tackle this until today. Pressure.
The opening dinner was held outside in the 'Maze' this evening, although it was cooler than normal (we even had rain during the day) it was still fine to eat outside. The organisers had worked on an artistic and creative decor to go with the menu - a fishing theme including a dinghy (with net) in a spotlight 'moored' on the stands where normally, students sit for open air ceremonies and performances. Food was delicious.
