Corner of the deck

A bit seedy this morning so no run. Then busy all day at the office and appointments. Got home to a bright sunset. Too bright to get other than a blow out of light. And the almost total absence of clouds to diminish the brightness, decreased the appeal of a typical sunset picture.

So, I got down low and shot this towards the west, the sun being obscured by the glass panels in the balustrade. To prevent us nasty types looking down into the properties at ground level down the slope of Grey Lynn, the glass is frosted. I quite like it as it also gives us privacy on our decks, not that that was the motivation of the givers of planning consent.

I did try a shot using the flash so that the planting on the deck was visible rather than a mixture of silhouette and black mass. S was most keen on this one.
