Broken sun

I looked up from reading a book and noticed the unusual sunset, the sun just spilled across the clouds like an egg yolk...

The days are definitely getting shorter, five weeks ago the sun would set behind Arthur's Seat, now it gets nowhere near it and it's dusky an hour earlier.

At least it's still warm.
