Subterranean

Although the big day for LOB (Library of Birmingham) isn't until the 3rd, most of the barriers were down today. Before today I had no idea that the architects had designed this giant hole at street level looking down into a circular courtyard that presumably readers can sit/stand in. It'll be interesting to see how long it is before people start lobbing stuff over the perimeter fence. Or is that just me being cynical ? Incidentally, this pano was done using Microsoft ICE which is free and just, simply, amazing.
