Walt's Wall...

It seems everyone is talking about the cult US TV-series 'Breaking Bad'. The conversation has increased in around Manchester's Northern Quarter following the introduction of French-born graffiti artist Akse P19's image of the show's main character on a wall on Tib Street. The work features Walter White aka Heisenberg, the lead character in the series which tells the story of a chemistry teacher, diagnosed with cancer, who sets up his own crystal meth lab to provide for his family. Magnificent though the spray painting is, it has caused controversy with local residents. So much that the artwork has already been vandalised in a possible anti-drugs protest. Locals feel that the street artist’s work is insensitive as it is sited close to where a notorious crystal meth lab was run by two men who were arrested in 2011. Controversy aside, the artwork extremely impressive, I have already posted (albeit unwittingly) one of Akse P19's images here.
