What's happened?
just 3 weeks ago we set off to France in what was a lovely summer here in west Yorkshire. Today we took Reggie up on the moor for a walk and summer has clearly gone while we've been away and been replaced with Autumn. The bracken is still very high, and the heather still in flower, there are some bilberries left ( delicious too !) but I was shocked to see the blackberries.
They do look wonderful though.
Much as we've love France and have had a wonderful time over there it was good to get back up on the moor. It was a beautiful evening up there and I realised how much I'd missed it. The fresh air was wonderful after an afternoon sat in Bradford Royal while Miss H was having some more scans on her shoulder. Listening to some in the waiting room was quite stressful for me. I am not sure what some people expect from the NHS but I don't think what they want is even available at Harley Street. All I can say is that as ever the care she got was excellent and we are as ever grateful that our National Insurance covers all the costs.
The walk on the moor has calmed me down again, and has worked wonders for Reggie who is now asleep behind the settee - his favourite spot.
