Had to go to dentist in Aberdeen and as I walked in sunshine in the gardens in front of the surgery I thought about how strange it was that we were all going on with our normal lives while refugees were fleeing from the atrocities in Syria. Surely if my children had been gassed the world would unite in coming to our aid and howl in horror.
