Zulu Healer's Market

Miles and miles of dried animal carcasses, bird wings, feathers and fragrant barks and twigs. We even found a full horse's leg on offer.

Pictured are the items on one of the tables.

Nothing was in English, but I did learn about the barks. They are supposed to be boiled and the aromas inhaled while soaking the ailing body part in the stew.

The old Zulu women and men staffing the place were something out of Grimm's Fairy Tales. I deeply regretted not speaking Zulu that day.
