Glowstix

We bought a pack of glowstix for the boys while we were on holiday over the weekend, they enjoyed them so much at the campsite on Saturday evening and Bean has been asking to play with them since so when it started getting dark he asked again. How could I say no - I'd not taken any pictures today!

Today has been a way better day than yesterday. I've actually had some brain today, it's been great! Thankful I've felt better, especially as Steve was out all day helping at ReLoved. The boys got to watch a bit of TV this morning while I worked, cutting out stencils for the Christmas cards I really really ought to be starting to make instead of catching up on journal entries or playing Mario Kart. After a tiny bit of lunch (probably actually the amount they would have eaten anyway even if I'd made more) we headed out because I needed silver spray paint, the boys needed chocolate spread, and Steve needed gaffer tape to make some more cardboard swords with ;) We met Libby, Nat and Hannah in Wilkos! She joked that the boys must have be facebooking each other this morning, checking what they'd each be wearing (both in Spiderman stuff!) and when and where to get their mums to accidentally bump into each other! We walked down to the seafront together and chatted while the kids played (Bear stayed in the wrap, resolutely staying awake, but not allowed down as I'd freeeeeze without him lol) and then headed off our separate ways.

Bear fell asleep as we neared the house. Typical. Bean wanted to watch some more Chuggington and I kind of wanted Bear to not be asleep too long this late in the day but of course when I want him to wake up he doesn't so he ended up asleep on the sofa!

Roast beef, celeriac mash, and savoy cabbage for dinner; almond shortbread logs chilling in the freezer; Steve off to Source for the final in the series on Marriage and Relationships in the Church; and I tickled the boys to sleep. Eventually.

Mario Kart time! I'll have to start those cards tomorrow... at least the stencils are cut now...
