Ipswich Docks

Went down to Ipswich Docks today to write more of the book.

But when I got down to the Neptune Coffee Shop I found it had free WiFi and checked out www.ancestry.co.uk as I've started to look up my family tree. Mrs dj suggested the site.

Fascinating stuff.

My Uncle has traced my Mum's side back to 1600s (must find the tree he sent me!)

But I want to trace my Dad's side. Took most of the rest of the day to findout my Gran's maiden name...

She married Peter Egan (same name as my Dad for confusion!) P E Senior died and she remarried Sam... He also died before I was born.

I knew her with surname as Knott. Was that her maiden name or Sam's surname??

Finally discovered her maiden name was Hall which in turn gave me info on my Dad...

Sorry. Getting into this now! Very addictive!
