Wave hello to Lapad beach.

Well, one week in to this odyssey and we made it into the sea, at least one of us did, the other prefering not to get her hair all wet & salty so only got half way in. Not a great beach – mix of sand and stones in the sea, and only stones on the foreshore, but fine when that's all there is.

Did very little else today other than wander around the main harbour area then back to the beach to a) catch the sunset and b) dine out. Missed out on the former as the sun goes down behind an island, but had a super meal in a local hotel. Mountain of mussels followed by whole, grilled, Sea Bass and Dorada. Mmmmm!

Planning on walking the old city wall plus more beach tomorrow.
