Second attempt quiche

I'm not very good at making pastry but I think I need to conquer it. So today I decided to make a quiche. I was doing well until the tin fell apart after the blind bake and the first pastry case broke. The second one fared better but there must have been a hole in the car because most of the filling leaked out - it was tasty though.
I'm nowhere bear ready for GBBO yet! Any tips gratefully received!
