My new Rosa Rugosa hedge.....

This has been planted hoping it will eventually deter the teenage cows that threaten to come over the low wall (on the field side), but maybe I've just given them something extra to browse on. Spent most of the morning digging holes and every one I dug was hard and full of stones and broken bottles and old pipes and odd bits of well rusted iron, half bricks.......sigh. Eventually all are safely in with nice new compost to give them a good start. There were supposed to be 2 white and 2 red....ah well there seemed to be 4 red....more sighs....obviously the garden mannie at the bayview should have gone to specsavers. !!!
