A load of hot air

A perfect evening for a flight in one of these; calm, hardly a cloud in the sky, and still nice and warm. I heard it before I saw it - it was taking off just behind some trees in the field next to the house and the noise from the burner (and the barking from the local dogs) was quite distinctive. Once it was up, it was surprising how quickly it gained height.

(By coincidence, after I published this, I saw that exactly one year ago today, I published a Blipfoto of the same balloon, in the same place! Spooky.....)
