Seamus Heaney tribute!

We picked blackberries for a crumble today and couldn't find as many as we expected. However, I remembered Heaney's poem 'Blackberry picking' and the last line 'Each year I hoped they'd keep. knew they would not'. We will go and pick more in a few days, not try and get them all at once only to see them go off (I expect S. H. was writing his poem before they had a freezer!
