Buff-breasted Sandpiper
Seventy five miles and ninety eight minutes to Elmley for a Buff-breasted Sandpiper. LGRE was in the hide when I arrived he'd seen and photographed the bird, but a Sparrowhawk came through and it'd not been seen since and he wasn't hopeful that it'd be back, anyway I hung around. A couple of hours later a Sparrowhawk came through and put up all the birds again this time when they settled down the Buff-breasted Sandpiper landed right in front of the hide - thanks Sparrowhawk.
Also seen today were Wood Sandpiper, Avocet, Spotted Redshank, Common Snipe and Greenshank.
