Photographer's Dream

Back-blipping Monday's entry from the Icelandair Saga Lounge in Rejkjavik, tired from a flight that left 1.5 hours late at 10:30pm, not sure what time it is for my body's clock, but very glad to be here!

This photo was one of many that Phil and I took in Toronto on our final afternoon. It's in a photographer's dream location, Brookfield Place, in the heart of Toronto's financial district, a 2.6 million square feet complex anchored by the Allen Lambert Galleria seen here.

"Conceived by Spanish designer Santiago Calatrava, the Allen Lambert Galleria is a soaring, six-storey avenue of light and glass that flows between Bay and Yonge Streets," says the brochure I picked up about Brookfield Place. "Defined by eight free-standing, inclined steel supports that branch out into a single plane, the award-winning Allen Lambert Galleria is embraced by natural light filtering through louvres on top of vaults, reinforcing the impression of an ethereal, tree-lined street."

We went there several times during our brief stay in Toronto, loving it more each time.
