Had a lovely afternoon at Bolton Abbey with my school friend and her two boys. The youngest three children had a great time on the 'Welly Walk' climbing, swinging, crawling and sliding. No wellingtons required today though after weeks of sunshine, but they were suitably mucky and C a little wet after a fall in the river trying the cross the stepping stones, she was doing so well up to that point and was soon smiling again when we went for ice creams after. It was a very grey afternoon so a bit dull for photographing the beautiful surroundings but I really like this moment of my friend and her boys.
