Birthday starts here

Every year the Edinburgh International Festival kindly puts on fireworks at Edinburgh Castle for my birthday. Or something like that.

This year Cyclops and I started my birthday a couple of days early by having my birthday tea out at the Heights Restaurant of the Apex Grassmarket. Which has a stunning view of the castle at the best of times but is spot on for the fireworks. And we had a window table. It was great food and such a nice evening. Lovely.

Glad we didn't go with the gardens tickets this time, as it was nasty cold and windy and I still have a bit of a cold.
