Monument Valley

This valley in a Navaho Tribal Park is the setting for many Western Movies. It was a favorite location of movie director John Ford. Here the horseman and his mount are standing on John Ford's Point where Ford loved to set up his Director's Chair and gaze into the distance. View LARGE.

A few people live in scattered homesteads in the valley.

Later today we will journey onward to Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell.
