A tiny bit of sunshine
I was driving past Grasmere on route to Elterwater this morning and caught sight of reflections in the lake. Just about managed to squeeze the Land Rover into a space in the layby, got all the gear together, extracted child from car and headed down to the side of the water.......by which time all the reflections had gone - sods law!
Anyway, we pottered about for a bit - me mainly trying to stop child from going too deep into the lake, child mainly trying to wade deeper than his wellies - before heading on to Elterwater. I snapped this one just as we were heading back up the path to the car and the sun came out behind us - another sods law moment, therefore not the greatest composition in the world.
The day proceeded to get soggier so I decided to blip the one bit of sunshine we did see. Nevertheless, the walk from Elterwater to Skelwith Bridge was nice, and the tiffin at Chester's was excellent....
