Ripening Elderberries
We have an old Elder tree about four feet away from our conservatory, which gets decorated with Peanut containers throughout the year and acts as an ideal feeding station for our garden birds, bringing them close enough to the house to get a good look at them (and the occasional photograph)
At present the tree is covered with clusters of berries in various stages of ripeness. The berries will soon become the food sought by bigger birds like collar doves and woodpigeons.
I thought the bright shiny berries warranted a blip for today.
