You Don't Always Get What You Want
or Revenge of the Car Rental Companies.
Over the last few years I (like most other people I suspect) have developed the habit when renting a car, of always booking the smallest - and usually cheapest - car in the fleet. And on collection day, you very often you get offered a much bigger car. :-)
Today I had booked a standard short-wheel-base Ford Transit to move some furniture from Bristol to Oxford (see earlier blip) - which was what I really needed.
And when I turned up this morning I get a high-roof, long-wheel-base Mercedes Sprinter - great to drive, challenging to turn or reverse.
