Deschutes River Panorama

Our last morning at La Pine State Park we decided to go visit the largest Ponderosa pine tree in Oregon.

It's name is "Big Red" and resides next to the Deschutes River in the park.

We actually passed by it yesterday as we paddled down the Deschutes River in our kayaks.

What a treat to see it up close and personal.

The nearby bluff above the river provided the lovely panorama perspective of a bend in the river we navigated the day before.
